Cadiz wears its cathedral like a landmark on the waterline. From the Atlantic side, the yellow dome and twin towers sit above the stone sea wall while the sun drops left of frame and turns sky and surf the same hard orange. Soft long-exposure foam rolls toward the camera; a lone surfer waits between the lines of swell.

The sky does most of the drama: thin horizontal cloud bands soaked in orange and gold, the sun a bright break on the far left that lays a shimmer path across the water. The city answers in pale facades and the cathedral's familiar profile - dome, towers, and the long seawall of dark rock and concrete that keeps the Atlantic off the streets.

In the foreground the sea is active. Rows of waves push in with silky white edges; teal and orange trade places in every trough. Near the left, a tiny dark figure sits on a board - scale that reminds you this is a working shore, not a postcard emptied of people.

This is Cadiz from the water: cathedral, wall, and weather sharing one horizon at the hour when the city turns briefly into silhouette and fire.
