Cadiz Cathedral, seat of the Diocese of Cadiz y Ceuta, took more than a century to build, from 1722 to 1838, and its roofline reflects that long, layered construction. Domes and cupolas in different styles and materials sit side by side, a rooftop patchwork that tells the story of the building's shifting architects and eras better than its front facade ever could.
