Tranquil Coastal Sunset View, Chanteiro, Ares, Galicia Spain
Long exposure turns the incoming tide to silk around a cluster of granite boulders on Chanteiro beach, the last warm light spilling from a gap in the clouds and pooling in green-blue water below the pines.

Subject: Granite boulders and pooled tide water lit by a break of sunset light
Location: Chanteiro Beach, Ares, Galicia, Spain
Medium: Photograph, long exposure
Series: Galicia Seascapes

Chanteiro sits on the Ría de Ares, a short stretch of coast in the Ferrolterra area of A Coruña province, and is known for the granite outcrops that break up its sand into a series of small, sheltered pools. At low tide those pools turn glassy and still, which is exactly the condition a long exposure needs to smooth the water into the soft, silky texture seen here.
