Sunrise Over Tranquil Marina, Port of Ferrol, Galicia Spain
Sunrise floods the water of Ferrol's marina in molten gold, the moored hulls and masts turned to dark silhouettes against a sky on fire, the whole scene doubled in a reflection so still it could be a second harbor.

Ferrol has been one of Spain's principal naval ports since the 18th century, when Charles III built the Arsenal de Ferrol into a major shipbuilding base for the Spanish Navy. Alongside that military history, the town's waters still fill every morning with the small pleasure and fishing boats that make up its working marina, caught here at the one moment of the day when the whole harbor turns to still, reflective gold.
